What is skin tightening?
Skin tightening procedures help to restore the normal appearance of your skin by reducing signs of aging like sagging, jowls, and loose skin. How does Viora tighten skin?
Dr. Averilla utilizes the Reaction™ by Viora CORE™ technology system to deliver effective radiofrequency (RF) waves to the skin to improve collagen and elastin formation, increase beneficial blood supply to your skin, and add fullness to your face.
The CORE technology incorporates three different RF channels to deliver precise and personalized treatments. The RF technology gently heats the surface of your skin to stimulate new cell growth and specifically targets collagen and elastin fibers in your skin.
Collagen and elastin are responsible for fullness and elasticity in your skin, but the fibers tend to break down as you age. The breakdown of these fibers causes sagging and loose skin, making you look tired and older than you feel.

What happens during a skin tightening session?
During your skin tightening session, Dr. Averilla prepares your skin to ensure it is clean before beginning the procedure. She then places the handheld RF device against your skin at specific locations that require tightening – like around your eyes, cheeks, mouth, throat, and chest.
She moves the device over your skin gently to address all treatment areas. During the procedure, you’ll feel a comfortable warming sensation. Your treatment will take 30-60 minutes, depending on the condition of your skin and the size of the treatment area.
What results can I expect after a skin tightening session?
You’ll notice immediate tightness and fullness in your skin after your Viora session.* This fullness may decrease over 24-48 hours as your skin adapts after the procedure. Dr. Averilla may recommend up to six sessions – spaced every two to four weeks – to see the best results. Your results will also depend on the condition of your skin prior to treatment.
